Characteristics and origin

It is a long-lived musical instrument that originates from horns and features a snail-like spiral tube.
It has 3 rotaries, and the double horn changes the pitch by using a switching lever.
The tonality is mainly in the F and B tubes, and the double horn is an instrument that combines the two into one.
It is a member of brass instruments, but is also active as a standard member of woodwind quintets because of the softness of the tone.
