Post-Performance Maintenance

01Pass the gauze through the hole at the end of the cleaning rod.

02Wrap the gauze around the tip of the cleaning rod so that it is not exposed.

03Wipe off the water in the tube by slowly turning the gauze in the direction in which it is wrapped around.

Polishing Gauze

Remove water from inside the tube.

Required if not supplied with the instrument.

Pad Maintenance

*Pads are leather parts used to seal the tone holes.
If the pads are damp, place a piece of cleaning paper between the pad and the tone hole and press the key several times to remove any moisture.

Remove the moisture from the pads.

Surface Care

Wipe off any fingerprints or dirt from the surface using a polishing cloth for musical instruments, taking care not to apply pressure to the key.

Removes discoloration and dirt from the surface of silver and silver-plated instruments.
YAMAHA / KOL3 Key Oil Light

Use between the key post and key tube and on the inner surface of the key tube to prevent noise and wear.
YAMAHA / ON Nozzle for Key Oil

This nozzle makes it easier to lubricate with oil.
