What equipment do you need for live streaming?

（1）The easiest way to stream live

Install the app for live streaming on your smartphone and use the smartphone's camera and microphone for streaming.

Problem：Poor sound quality. The video can be tolerated even if some frames drop out, but I feel stressed when the audio is difficult to hear.

The solution

We recommend an audio interface that allows a direct connection your smartphone, or a product with a loopback function that allows you to mix a microphone while playing music from your computer.

（2）To perform live streaming for players of musical instruments (assuming that you are making music at home)

A mixer and audio interface are used to capture multiple sounds/signals, such as from microphones and musical instruments, into a computer. The camera is a generic web camera.

Problem：The image quality of the webcam is poor.

By connecting a standard audio mixer to an audio interface, you can mix and stream multiple instrument signals simultaneously. If your computer is not equipped with a camera, you can use an external webcam.

（3）To improve the image quality

Use a video camera and capture device instead of a webcam.

Problem：You can't create a video with just one camera.

For better picture quality, we recommend a camcorder with an HDMI output; without an HDMI IN terminal, HDMI cannot be directly input to your computer, so make sure you have a video capture device that converts HDMI to USB.

（4）To further improve the image quality

Introduce multiple video cameras and switchers to enable switching and composition.

If you want to switch between multiple cameras to add movement and development to your video, you'll need a video switcher.
