With the current self-imposed stay home trend, live streaming of various events and activities, including online meetings, classes, and live bands, has become more and more common. If you don't know what equipment to get for streaming, or if you just want a better sound, better quality and higher grade streaming, here's a look at some of the different setups using Roland video equipment.
Install the app for live streaming on your smartphone and use the smartphone's camera and microphone for streaming.
Problem:Poor sound quality. The video can be tolerated even if some frames drop out, but I feel stressed when the audio is difficult to hear.
The solution
We recommend an audio interface that allows a direct connection your smartphone, or a product with a loopback function that allows you to mix a microphone while playing music from your computer.
A mixer and audio interface are used to capture multiple sounds/signals, such as from microphones and musical instruments, into a computer. The camera is a generic web camera.
Problem:The image quality of the webcam is poor.
By connecting a standard audio mixer to an audio interface, you can mix and stream multiple instrument signals simultaneously. If your computer is not equipped with a camera, you can use an external webcam.
Use a video camera and capture device instead of a webcam.
Problem:You can't create a video with just one camera.
For better picture quality, we recommend a camcorder with an HDMI output; without an HDMI IN terminal, HDMI cannot be directly input to your computer, so make sure you have a video capture device that converts HDMI to USB.
Introduce multiple video cameras and switchers to enable switching and composition.
If you want to switch between multiple cameras to add movement and development to your video, you'll need a video switcher. The Roland/V1-HD allows you switch between cameras connected to the four HDMI inputs with the touch of a button. It also has a stereo RCA AUDIO input allowing for the mixer's main output to be connected to send multiple audio and video signal simultaneously.
You can check the picture before switching the camera
In addition to the main video output terminal (PGM), it is equipped with an output terminal (PVW) so that you can confirm the input.
The Settings menu is also displayed via the input confirmation output terminal.
In addition to the main output, there is also a PREVIEW output terminal for video, so you can have the next video at stand by to be transferred while you adjust each camera.
An all-in-one AV mixer that combines the necessary functions required for live streaming in one unit. Even though the specs are aimed at business users, simple connections and operations can be carried out.
This AV streaming mixer is a mixer, switcher and capture device all-in-one. Of course, you can also connect an audio mixer, which is perfect for applications in which you may want to use a mixer, for example, in a live house to stream live sound and video using a simple system.
