Power amplifier types

Input terminals

The input terminals are generally XLR 3-pin type. Select a line cable that matches the equipment you want to connect, such as a preamp or mixer.

Output terminals

On many models, the output terminal types are mainly Speakon, binding post (banana) and standard phone models. For the output terminals, select the speaker cable according to the type of connection terminal.

Rack cases

Since most power amplifiers are usually deep in depth, select a rack case that matches the size of the amplifier.

Stereo amplifier

You can individually control the volume of the two main speaker channels (L/R). In addition to simple models, there are also models that have multiple processors built in, such as equalizers, crossovers, and limiters. When used in bridge mode, it can also be used to drive large speakers or subwoofers with large allowable inputs.

4 channel power amplifier

In addition to the volumes of the main L and R speakers, a single unit can individually control four channels of volume, such as two floor monitors, one floor monitor, and two subwoofers, and so on, taking up the space of two stereo amplifiers in the same rack space. Here, too, we have a multi-functional high-end model with an LCD display.

High impedance types

They can be used in combination with exposed, ceiling-mounted or high-impedance speakers such as horn speakers for background music in restaurants, beauty parlors, schools, conference centers, festivals, elections, and so on. Multiple speakers can be connected to a single line.

Digital power amplifiers

The above power amplifiers are analog, but there are also digital power amplifiers. The CLASSIC PRO DCP series uses a switching power supply, and has no transformer, achieving downsizing and weight reduction.

Connection example of 4ch power amplifiers

1.Main speakers L and R, floor monitor ,subwoofer：You can make stage sound with one power amplifier.

2.The main speaker L × 2 and R × 2: Two opposing sets can be set up.

3. Main L and R, CD deck L and R: You can control the volume of each sound source separately.

Connection example of high impedance power amplifiers

1.Parallel connection: Suitable for equipments such as schools and facilities that require many speakers.

2.Switch output: It is suitable when you need many speakers and you want to change the volume for each room.
