We will introduce instruments used for hanging lighting equipment on trusses and installing them on the floor, and various lighting stands.
As the name suggests, attach the lamp to the end with a straight stand. Adjust the height by extending and contracting the pole up and down. The tripod type is the mainstream, and some products have casters and can be moved around easily. Lighting stands are mainly used where there is no truss to attach lighting equipment.
A stand with a crank (manual height adjustment) to adjust the height. Even with heavy lighting equipment, height adjustment can be easily performed with the light attached to the stand.
An accessory for attaching multiple lighting devices, connected to the tip of the stand, etc. It is also called a "dragonfly". The shape of the connector differs depending on the product, so select the type according to the stand and lighting equipment you are using. Normally, one lighting fixture is attached to one stand, but it is possible to attach multiple lighting fixtures by using an arm. It is important to note that some products do not have a fixture allowing them to be attached to the arm.
A T-shaped stand with an arm attached to the end of a straight stand. Multiple lighting devices can be attached using the screws attached to the arm or by using a separate clamp (see “clamp” below) on the arm.
It is a pedestal for installing lighting equipment on the floor. STAGE EVOLUTION / SEBP specs allow for 17mm dowels/dabos to be attached (see “Dabos” below).
A hanging bracket is used by attaching it to a cylindrical truss, etc. Materials include aluminum and iron. You need to select the type of clamp according to the truss thickness, the weight of the lighting equipment to be hung, the dimensions of the mounting holes, etc. Basically, clamps cannot be used with square poles as they cannot be firmly attached. Also, depending on the lighting equipment, multiple clamps may be required.
It is a part for attaching lighting equipment to a clamp or a stand. The 17mm diameter type is commonly used in Japan. Basically, dabos/dowels are always attached to the lighting equipment side. In this way, the lighting equipment can be removed from the truss while the dabo clamps are attached to the truss, which is useful when, for example, the lighting equipment is frequently replaced or moved.
※ Regarding the specs of dabo sold by Sound House
A plastic ring is attached to the end of the nut to prevent it from getting loose. It is necessary to fix this resin ring together with the screw, but since it does not turn by hand, it needs to be tightened firmly with a tool such as a wrench.
A steel wire for preventing equipment installed on the ceiling etc. from falling. It is necessary to select the type of wire according to the weight of the equipment to be suspended. To use, wrap the wire around the equipment and the truss, and hook the end hook to the other ring.
STAGE EVOLUTION / SCLAMP is a lighting clamp ideal for par lights, effects and small light housings. The movie shows how to install using a par light, so please take a look.
[1] Remove the clamp nut and take out the washer.
[2] Insert a screw into the bracket of the machine with a washer.
[3] Tighten the nut.
[4] Loosen the wing bolt on the clamp.
[5] Hang on a bar or pipe of a corresponding thickness.
[6] Tighten the wing bolt.
※If the lighting equipment falls, it will be dangerous, so we recommend using a safety wire.
