Laser beam safety standard (JIS C 6802)

This regulates laser output.
The higher the number is in classes 1, 1M, 2, 2M, 3R, 3B, 4 and so on, the output laser becomes stronger and the risk increases.

ClassSummary of risk assessment
Class1It is inherently safe in design
Class1MLow power (302.5 to 4,000 nm wavelength)
Class2Low power for visible light (400 to 700 nm wavelength)
Class2MLow power for visible light (400 to 700 nm wavelength)
Class3ROutput of 5 times or less (wavelength of 400 to 700 nm)
of class 2 for visible light and 5 times or less of wavelength of class 1 (wavelength of 302.5 nm or more ) for visible light
Class3BOutput less than 0.5W
Class4High output

・Cautions
It is necessary to set up the laser devices so as not to look directly at the laser together with the previously mentioned laser pointers.
If light is in the eyes, it may affect the retina.
