About connection terminal

In the past, cable connectors for DMX control used to be DSUB connectors and 5-pin type cannon connectors, but 3-pin cannon connectors are now in widespread use.

Conversion connector

For some lighting equipment manufacturers and products, data + and - may be reversed. In that case, you’ll need to use a phase conversion connector.

About cables

Since DMX signals are digital signals, we use DMX dedicated cables and cannon digital cables conforming to the AES / EBU standard.
There’s also a shielded cable for lighting with a characteristic impedance of 110Ω.

About substitution with microphone cables

If the characteristic impedance is low, for example, the DMX equipment may malfunction due to the inability to transmit the signal correctly, so a digital cable is recommended.

What is AES / EBU?

Professional digital audio signal transmission standards. AES stands for the Audio Engineering Society (Audio Engineering Society), EBU stands for the European Broadcasting Union (European Broadcasting Union) and cables have been standardized by these two groups.
