Guitar remodeling course (wiring edition) Part 4 n) for those who want more from their guitar!
We will introduce wiring that enables one switch to combine the two tap switches and phase sound changeover switches introduced so far .
In the previous wiring lessons, the terminal used the 6-pin on-on switch (the switch stops in the upper and lower two positions as shown in the left picture).
In the previous wiring lessons, the terminal used the 6-pin on-on switch(the switch stops in the upper and lower two positions as shown in the left picture).
In addition to the above, there are a wide variety of mini switches on the market. As there are many switches that look the same but have different functions, please check the letters on the side as follows. Just looking at the specifications will help you determine the type of switch.
Next , how to wire the series-tap-phase change switch.
First check the color of the wires coming out of each coil of the humbucking pickup.
This wiring is similar to the wiring of the phase switch introduced last time.
Note that the four corner terminals cross each other.
Connect the lead wires of the pickup to the bottom 2 terminals and the 3 terminals on the center left, and the output of the pot or jack to the terminals on the center right.
What did you think?
Although the wiring gets a little more complicated by the application section, with this wiring, it is possible to produce three types of sounds just by switching small switches! Please try by all means!
