This is the third guitar remodeling course (wiring edition) for those who want more from their guitar!
We will introduce wiring which outputs a phase sound with 4-core humbucking pickups using mini-switch this time!
A phase sound is a sound that is output with the electrical signal canceled by reversing the phase by reversing + and - of two coils arranged side by side.
The feeling of the sound is expressed as similar to the sound made by the wah sound with the middle and low range considerably scraped.
Guitars with built-in functions that allow you to output phase sounds, such as Fender Mustang, are also commercially available, making them suitable for a cutting guitar sound.
Another famous guitarist who likes phase is QUEEN's guitarist Brian May!
Next we will actually guide you through the phase sound switch installation.
As we explained last time, first check the color of the wire coming out of each coil of the humbucking pickups.
Wire the terminals at the four corners of the switch so that they cross each other.
Since the right side of the mini switch has two wires connected, please be careful when wiring.
This wiring allows you to experience a sound that cannot be had with pickups wired in series.
What do you think?
Why not create an original sound that is a little different from others with this wiring!
