There may be many who already know it, but we’ve had many inquiries about the replacement method of the drum heads from new players and those who just started the drums and those who want to start from now on. So this time we will introduce how to replace the drum head.
First of all, loosen the tension bolts.
The tension bolt loosens when turned to the left.
At the beginning, loosen each bolt little by little so that a part of the hoop is not stressed. When all tension bolts are removed, remove the hoop and remove the drum head.
At that time, dust and stick fragments may be in the hoop gap or shell, so remove them.
Place the new head firmly in the shell and place the hoop on it. Tighten the tension bolts evenly until they cannot be turned with your fingers. After this, use a tuning key and turn it evenly little by little.
