Speaker cable cross section

The image is a 4-core cable, but a 2-core cable can be used as a speaker cable. If you use 10m or longer cables, a large diameter cable is recommended for better results in terms of safety and sound quality.

How to make

Remove the speaker connector. We will use an NL4FX this time.

Pass the connector bushing through the cable beforehand.

Remove about 30 mm of the coating on the end of the cable with a cutter knife.

Cut the interposition (thread) and remove the coating of the core wire.

NG example

Strip about 15 mm the core. When cutting the film with pliers (or the cutter knife), cut so as not to damage the core wire.
※ You can do this easily with wire strippers. (The length may differ depending on the type of connector, so change it according to the bushing length.)

Twist the ends of the stripped core wires.
CANARE / 4S6 uses 4 core wires.。

If you want to use a 4-core core as a double core, twist the core wires separately for each color and twist them together.

For the NL4FX, terminals are arranged as shown in the picture.

In the case of 2 core wires, the white core wire is connected to [1-], and the red core wire is connected to [1+].

In the case of 4 core wires, the white core wire is connected to [1-], the clear wire is [2-], red is connected to [1+], and pink is connected to [2+].

Tighten the screw with a Phillips screwdriver to secure the core wire to the terminal.

Attach the bushing that has been passed through the cable in advance to the NL4FX.

Connector type

Various connection terminals are used for the speaker cables.
