Multi-cable types

Wiring can be simplified by bundling multiple single cables into one cable for transmission. It consists of a multi-cable and a connector box, but some are integrated with the box and some are equipped with a reel (drum) for winding the cable.

Reel type

Multi cable, reel and connector are integrated. In addition to stretching only as much as necessary, it is also possible to easily wind with a large reel instead of the general figure-8 wound style when storing heavy and long cables.

Snake cables

As a simplified version, short multi cables with plugs at both ends are also called snake cables. Designs with relatively short sizes, with the box omitted, are easy to connect with equipment.

CANARE multi-cable

CANARE products that have become a staple brand with a lineup from 8CH to 32CH. The combination of multi cables and connector boxes enables a wide range of applications.

Braided shields and aluminum wrapped shields are available, and should be selected depending on whether they will be used for temporary installation in a sound production site such as a stage, or used for fixed equipment in a recording studio.

CANARE connector boxes

A box serving as a signal entrance and exit connected to the end of the multi-cable. Generally placed on the stage, connect the individual cables to the box to consolidate the wiring. The combination of the XLR receptacles and the cables and the multi-connectors is divided into three types: para box, para para box, single box.

Para box

XLR receptacle is a box with both male and female connectors. It is possible to mix and send input and output. The multi-connectors are equipped with both male and female connectors.

Para Para Box

They are used in applications such as setting multi-boxes at multiple locations on a large stage, carrying the signals for PA, as well as for monitors by placing them at stage-right and stage-left. XLR receptacle equipped with male and female connectors. Also, unlike para-boxes, by equipping both male and female multi connectors, connection between connector boxes is also possible.

Single box

Equipped with either male or female XLR receptacles. Limited installation for connection in one direction is possible.

CANARE Separate chord

Commonly known as a "Roller", this cable is used to separate multi-cables in order to simplify the connections with the mixer.
