Speaker cabinet type

There are various types of speaker cabinets with one unit, two units and four units, and the sound quality and sound pressure are different. Basically, the smaller the speaker unit, the finer the graininess and the clearer the high region, and the larger the speaker unit, the higher the level of the low range and the higher the volume. Also, the greater the number of speaker units installed, the higher the sound pressure on your hearing.

Important point

? Check the allowable input of the speaker cabinet against the output of the amplifier head.

It is basic to select a model with an allowable input more than the number of output W on the amplifier side. If the output W number on the amplifier side exceeds the maximum input W number on the speaker side, not only the speaker but also the amplifier itself may be damaged.

? Check the impedance (resistance value) of the amplifier head and the speaker cabinet.

If the switch on the amplifier side can change the resistance value, use it in accordance with the resistance value of the cabinet used. Never connect to a cabinet below the minimum resistance on the amplifier side, as this will overload the amplifier more than necessary.

? Use a speaker cable to connect the amplifier head and the speaker cabinet.

Use a speaker cable to connect the amplifier head to the speaker cabinet. An instrument cable cannot be used because its structure is different. Mainly for the bass amplifier, a cable using a phone jack or a plug of a speed controller jack is used.
