An operational amplifier is used for the amplification element instead of the general big muff transistor, and the gain stage adopts 3 stages instead of the conventional 4 stages.
This model is a reissue of the 1973 Ram's Head Big Muff, which is now traded at a very high price, by the original Electro-Harmonix in a compact nano-sized case. Based on the purple paint period called V2, it features excellent separation and a strong sustain. It has also been modified to suit modern times, such as true bypass and support for 9V external power.
