Between March 11th to 22nd 2008 - the SOUND HOUSE shopping website was effected by a foreign cyber fraudulent threat, and is now in the current process of taking the correct measures to resolve this issue. Below is a translation of the current situation.

1. Translation for International Sound House Customers.

Dear Customers,

This letter has been created to inform you that due to recent events, it has
been assessed that there is an extremely high possibility that some personal
customer information from our SOUND HOUSE online shopping site has been
leaked due to cyber fraudulent access.

We sincerely apology to all of our customers for any inconvenience and
concerns that this issue may have caused and we assure you that we are
taking every measure to resolve this issue.

A. Overview;

Due to an associated Credit Card company who identify that a potential
threat of personal information of customers who purchased through the
SOUND HOUSE online shopping site may have been leaked. We instantaneously
responded with the implementation of a third-party body - specializing in
security measures, to conduct a survey and estimated damage report. It has
been reported that it is highly possible that the personal information,
including credit card details, have been leaked due to fraudulent access. It
has been confirmed that these measures of leakage are due to unauthorized
internet access from China. In response to the conducted survey, we have
taken the appropriate measures to upgrade the security system and at the
same time, informed the Police authority, the designated institution of METI
(Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and associated Credit Card
companies in order to resolve this issue.

B. Leaked Information;

It has been determined that the total number of personal records potentially
leaked is 97,500 including 27,743 personal records that includes credit card
information from a total of 122,884 customer records, who registered with
SOUND HOUSE during the period of January 1st 2007 to March 22nd 2008.

The items of personal information potentially leaked are as follows:

"Name", "Hiragana", "Gender", "Date of birth", "Log-In Email address",
"Log-In password", "Holder Name of Credit Card", "Credit Card number",
"Expiry date".
*It has been assessed that residential address and telephone numbers have
NOT been leaked.

C. SOUND HOUSE measures taken;

In response to findings provided by the third-party investigative body, we
have upgraded our security system and completed the following;;

Redesign of WEB system construction.

Instillation of hacking monitoring hardware, with quick response functionality to potential cyber threats.

Implementation of a Security Management Task Force.

24 hour monitoring systems to prevent illegal access.

Upgrade of the Firewall.

Removal of fraudulent program.

Removal of Credit Card information from our Data Base.

D. SOUND HOUSE Customer Support measures;

Our system has now been modified and you may be required to reset your SOUND
HOUSE Log-In Password the next time you Log-In to our shopping site. We
kindly ask you to redefine the password to prevent potential fraudulent
usage.

Again, please accept our sincere apology for any inconvenience and the
anxiety it may have caused you.

effort to resolve this issue and to continue to deliver the service that you
can use with confidence.

2. Step by Step Process to Change Your Account Password.

To update your password, please follow the steps listed below. Updating your password is required for your account to be safe and functional. We kindly ask you to set the new login password different from the password for your Credit Card account to ensure maximum security of your personal details.

Step 1.
Select the 'Register/Login' button from the left side menu on the Sound House website.

Step 2.
Next, login into your existing account with your email address and password, and select the login button.

Step 3.
Once you have logged in, you will be directed to the 'Change Password' screen. On this page you must type your email address and click the button below once you have finished.

Step 4.
You will instantly receive an email from us in your email account you typed in Step 3. This email will contain a unique link that you will need to click on.

Step 5.
This link will direct you to a 'New Password' screen in your web browser. You should now type your new password in both boxes and click the button below once you have finished.

You will then see a screen that indicates you have successfully updated your account, and you will now be able to login to your account with your new password after this screen appears. Your account will now be secure under the new security systems we have implemented.

You are now safe to continue shopping with us. Furthermore, if you have any problems changing your password or further concerns related to this matter, please contact us on the information provided below.
