The T-RackS TASCAM Tape Collection carefully recreates four TASCAM analog recorders renowned for their sound and other characteristics. Developed in collaboration with TASCAM and IK Multimedia, a company renowned for its analog equipment and tape modeling, the T-RackS TASCAM Tape Collection allows you to utilize the warmth and classic characteristics of analog recorders in today's digital recording environments.
The T-RackS TASCAM Tape Collection includes four officially certified TASCAM models.
TEAC A-6100 MKII
This module is modeled after the TEAC A-6100 MKII. The TEAC A-6100 MKII is a mastering recorder that was an improved version of the TEAC A-6100 released in 1973. It adds the warmth and character unique to tape, and remains a popular product to this day.
TEAC A-3340S
This module is modeled after the TEAC A-3340S. This deck was used on numerous classic demos and albums by influential rock bands.
TASCAM 388
This module is modeled after the TASCAM 388. Released in 1985, this model combines an 8-channel mixer and an 8-track recorder. Its warm, captivating sound remains highly sought after today, and it fetches high prices.
TASCAM PORTA ONE
This module is modeled after the TASCAM PORTA ONE. Released in 1984, this 4-track MTR used cassette tape as its recording medium. It was a model that supported the heyday of cassette MTRs, introducing the joy of home recording to many musicians. Even today, its unique cassette tape sound continues to garner popularity for creative experimentation and live performances.
