Seamless Integration of Analog, MADI, and AVB/Milan
The M-1620 Pro features ADAT, AVB/Milan network (supports Gigabit Ethernet), MADI (coaxial and optical with optional SFP module), and analog inputs and outputs, seamlessly integrating digital and analog signals in a single unit.
The converter section features an anti-aliasing filter setting that optimizes the impulse response and frequency characteristics. Combined with RME's proprietary SteadyClock FS technology for jitter suppression, this delivers extremely precise and clear sound quality, combining the high resolution and stability required for professional audio environments.
In addition to the MADI coaxial connector, a separate BNC connector for word clock is also provided. Furthermore, the extensive analog I/O enables reliable audio transmission and flexible system construction for immersive studios, live environments, and recording engineers utilizing a wide range of outboard gear.
High-Quality Analog Inputs and Outputs
The M-1620 Pro combines the high sound quality and flexible input/output configuration required for professional environments, with 16 analog inputs and outputs plus two headphone outputs.
Analog inputs and outputs are connected via D-Sub connectors on the rear panel, and the reference level can be individually set for each channel: +13, +19, or +24 dBu (at 0 dBFS). While this function is typically implemented using digital trims, the M-1620 Pro processes in the analog domain, allowing for optimal level matching without compromising the converter's S/N ratio, even when switching to line level.
In addition, each channel can be remotely changed or muted, supporting fast and flexible operation in the field. Technical Specifications
