Symphony Desktop for Mac and Windows is an audio interface with the same legendary sound quality as the rack-mounted Apogee Symphony I/O Mk II. Despite its abundant 10in/14out inputs and outputs that support your inspiration, it is small enough to be easily placed on a desk or put in a bag. Equipped with AD/DA converters and mic preamps that have been trusted for a long time in the industry, Symphony Desktop is a powerful support for musicians, producers, and the music production scene, whether recording, overdubbing, or mixing.

New features include Alloy Mic Preamp microphone preamp emulation, Symphony ECS Channel Strip plug-in, Apogee FX plug-ins that work with hardware DSP and natively, and ultra-low latency recording. Microphone Preamps - Superior Performance
The heart of Symphony Desktop's microphone input stage is the microphone preamp, which provides up to 75dB of gain. It uses Apogee's proprietary Advanced Stepped Gain Architecture, which delivers ultra-low noise and distortion for everything from heart-pounding kick drums to delicate fingerpicking on an acoustic guitar. Symphony Desktop supports variable impedance, automatically optimizing the input stage for the specific device, whether microphone or instrument, delivering deep lows and brilliant highs. You can also select a microphone preamp emulation to add character, attitude and grit to your recordings.

Headphone Outputs
Symphony Desktop features two independent ultra-low impedance headphone outputs. Equipped with dual-sum ESS DACs, they can be routed completely separately. The output range is adjusted for each intended headphone. The front panel output can drive almost any headphone, while the rear panel output is specifically tuned for high efficiency headphones.
