~ What is Ozark ~
Original Supro Ozark created in the late 50's. The Ozark 1261AW is based on a guitar played by an iconic rock artist and revived with modern specifications. The original body size, 25-inch scale and characteristic pinstripe line art are reproduced with the latest attention. The playability and intonation have been improved while following the original design.
The Ozark 1261AW has a hard-tail bridge that passes the strings directly to the steel control plate, allowing each string to be individually adjusted for the same robust sustain as the original. The black satin-finished maple neck is glued to the mahogany body at 14 frets, greatly improving playability and tuning stability while maintaining iconic geometry.
Equipped with a custom made Lace Aluma 90 pickup for Supro. It removes physical limitations while retaining the sonic wonders of the original Valco wrap steel pickup. The pickups are mounted on a large steel baseplate with volume and tone controls and bridges, all integrated into a single assembly. You can set up and play a vintage classic tone unique to Supro like a modern guitar.
